We all witness that there is something about the culture of government that encourages inefficiency and even a lack of direction. The word "politics" has a renown negative outlook. You can have a productive and enjoyable conversation with a friend or loved one. As soon as the subject or word "politics" comes up, the response often is "I have to check on the kids" or "I've got something on the stove".

What if it doesn't have to be that way? What if we can make a change in that reality and that perspective? What if we could again inspire through public service? What if older generations and the young alike could see what kind of exceptional service that could be offered through government service? What if our younger people could look at "politics" and see they have a place at the table to make a positive impact?

Jordan is running to make that vision a reality in Putnam County, and the surrounding areas. He is wanting to lead and inspire the Trustee's office to give exceptional, Chick-Fil-A like service to our citizens and in turn, encourage other offices to do the same in our county and beyond our borders. As the only candidate with a wealth of both business and government service, he has the experience and the drive to make this reality possible.
What is that vision?

EFFECTIVE STEWARDSHIP

The county trustee serves as the county banker. With more than a decade of banking experience, including serving in a branch manager role, Jordan has excellent experience for the role. The trustee is responsible for securing county finances and the personal information of the citizenship. The trustee also needs to find the best return possible for idle funds for the county. As a former county commissioner, Jordan has witnessed firsthand the temptation many commissioners have to seek an increase in taxes to cover growing community needs. The role of your Trustee is in part to prioritize achieving best returns to take pressure off your county commissioners to seek tax increases as a first resort. This is Jordan's mission and priority.

KEEP OUR DOLLARS LOCAL

Jordan is a small business supporter. He has been since his early years. His mission is to invest idle funds in our local Putnam County banks whenever possible and to purchase local supplies needed for the office as frequently as possible. In doing so, we can keep our dollars local and help build our local economy and standard of living.

INSPIRE CHICK-FIL-A STYLE SERVICE FOR ALL CITIZENS OF PUTNAM COUNTY

Chick-Fil-A's mission statement is:
"To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us.
To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-Fil-A."

That mission and focus is a primary reason the restaurant chain is so successful and beloved by multitudes of fans. That kind of purpose and mission must be carried out by your local government offices. It will be of utmost importance that the Trustee's office with Jordan's leadership will engage in the best stewardship possible of your hard-earned tax dollars. It will also be of utmost importance that this office serves all Putnam Countians, regardless of belief or background, properly and with dignity. We want to leave a positive impression on each citizen and even visitors who have business with the Trustee's office. A visit to the Trustee's office is really not something anybody wants to do. You are typically coming in contact with the office to relieve some of your hard-earned money in paying taxes, you may be having an issue doing so, and you have to take time out of your busy schedule to tackle the traffic around the Courthouse Square. It is up to the Trustee's office to ensure you have the most positive experience possible. We also will endeavor to find innovative ways to make your experience easier. We will look to technologies and processes that could make the process simpler for you. When we achieve Chick-Fil-A style service in the Trustee's office, we can inspire other county offices to do the same. From there, the goal is to inspire other counties to offer better service. We can make government service better from the ground up!

LEAD WITH INTEGRITY, HONESTY, FAIRNESS, AND RESPECT FOR ALL CITIZENS

To achieve Chick-Fil-A style service, we must lead and operate with these principles at the heart of our mission. Each human life has value and should be treated as such. Jordan was first encouraged to seek the office of Trustee by his mother-in-law, Eva Farley, as early as 2019. She said then to Jordan, "When Freddie retires, you should seek the office of Trustee. You are fair like Freddie, respectful of people, and you have the experience. Jordan took that into consideration early and others throughout the county mentioned that to him as well. Jordan has always prioritized these principles of integrity, honesty, fairness and respect through his business career and in serving on the Putnam County Commission. He desires to take those principles into the Trustee's office to represent Putnam County and to serve our people even better than they are currently. We are blessed with excellent county public servants and employees, and Jordan strives to push the bar even further through inspiring these principles.

BE ENGAGED WITH, AND ACCESSIBLE TO, EVERY COMMUNITY IN PUTNAM COUNTY

With Jordan as Trustee, no community in Putnam County will be overlooked or marginalized. Jordan believes every neighborhood and corner of Putnam County is of great value and must be treated fairly. Jordan has a long history of being involved in events and initiatives in multiple areas of our county, and he will continue that practice as your Trustee. With a long track record of exceptional service, he prioritizes relationships and communication. If you reach out to Jordan, he will make the attempt to answer or reach back out. If he doesn't personally know the answer you seek, he will find it out. A vote for Jordan is a vote for a fair Putnam County.
